Potato Halwa

 


















Try this if you have a real sweet tooth.
Ingredients

Milk-250ml
Potato-2 medium sized( ground into a coarse paste)
Double cream-2tbsp
sugar-75g
Brown sugar-2tbsp(optional)
Butter-50g
Ghee-1tbsp
Raisins+Cashew nuts-25g
Vanilla Essence-1Tbsp
Cardamompowder-1/2tbsp

Method

Grind the potato into a coarse paste. Heat a sauce pan. Melt the butter and add the potato paste into it.Saute it for a couple of minutes. Add milk, double cream & sugar and stir well..Add vanilla essence and cardamom powder.Keep stirring until a thread like consistency is achieved. Now remove it from the fire. In a small wok prepare the garnish by roasting the raisins and cashew nut in ghee. Pour this ghee along with the cashews and raisins on top of the halwa.Then allow the halwa to cool for an hour. You may refrigerate as well. Once cool your halwa is ready! Posted by Picasa
