Capsicum sea food medley
This recipe is for all those sea food lovers of the world.Mussels,clams,squids, prawns....are the favourites of most of the sea food lovers. (Caution: Those who have an allergy for any of these may just enjoy watching others eat!)
Ingredients
Mussels, Clams,squids, Prawns -A mixture of all these cleaned n cut into small pieces
-300g
Capsicum-2 medium size chopped
Ginger-garlic paste-50g
fenugreek powder-1tsp
Chilli powder-1tbsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
corriander powder-1tsp
garam masala-1/2tsp
mustard seeds-1tsp
cumin seed-1/2tsp
Onion-1 large-finely chopped
coconut grated-2tbsp
Curry leaves-1 sprig
Tomato ketchup-1tbsp
Oil-as required
Salt- As required
Water-3/4 cup
Method
Marinate the sea food with chillipowder(half portion),turmeric powder& salt and keep it aside.
Heat oil in a wok. Into the hot oil pop in mustard seeds, cumin seed and curry leaves. Once they have spluttered add ginger garlic paste, followed by chopped onions,capsicum,and all the powdered masalas. Saute it for a while till the onions n capsicum have become soft and transluscent. Now add the marinated sea food. Saute it for a couple of minutes.Add water,Cover the wok with a lid and allow it to get cooked for at least 7 minutes(till the sea food is properly cooked).Add more salt if required. Now add the grated coconut and the tomato ketchup and allow it to cook for a couple of minutes more. Once the water has all dried up and the sea food is cooked, your capsicum sea food medley is ready to go with chappathi/parathas or with rice as a side dish.
