Mutton Chops curry in honey n cocum juice

A spicy Mutton curry which goes well with Pathiri and of course with Naan, bread,Chappathi, Paratha,Porotta etc.,

Ingredients

Lamb chops-500g
Chilli powder-1 1/2 Tbsp
Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
Dhaniya powder-1 tsp
Onion-2-big size (finely chopped)
Ginger+Garlic paste-50g
Pepper powder-1tsp
Fenugreek seeds-1/2 tsp
Mustard-1/2 tsp
Coccum juice-1/2 cup
Coconut -100g
Honey-1/2 cup
Corriander leaves- a sprig
Curry leaves-A sprig
Oil- as required
Salt+Water-As required

Method

Marinate the cleaned mutton chops well with half the chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and leave it for 15 minutes.Cook it partially for 7 minutes in a microwave oven or alternatively pressure cook.Dry roast the powder masalas. Saute Onion to a golden brown tinge. Now grind the roasted powder masalas, along with the sauted onion and coconut into a fine paste. Take a wok. Heat oil.Prepare the seasoning by adding mustard, fenugreek seeds and curry leaves. Once they have spluttered, add the masala paste to the seasoning.Mix it well and then add the Cocum juice. Now add the partially cooked lamb chops along with the juice that has run out of it, salt as required, and cook well for 5 minutes. Now add honey, stir well and cook for another 2 minutes. Finally garnish with some corriander leaves and serve hot.
