Kannada Adikemaneyintha onthu kadi....
May day and it is holiday!.... I'm feeling a bit lazy to grind n chop n cut n mash n whisk n.....I think I'll go for that traditional kannadiga quickie(best suited for bacherlors!),'kadi' , and also make some fry to go with it.
Ingredients:
1 cup buttermilk
2tbsp besan flour
1 tsp. red chilli powder
1 tbsp. chopped coriander leaves
Salt as required
For Seasoning:
1 tbsp. oil
1 tsp. mustard seeds
1 tsp. cumin seeds
2 red chillies
1/2 tsp. turmeric
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, cumin seeds, chillies and once they have spluttered add chilli powder, turmeric, salt& buttermilk. Stir well. Now add besan little by little and dont forget to stir constantly.Add 2tbsp of water.Bring it to boil for 10 minutes. Garnish with corriander leaves and serve hot with rice.'Ashtey,Namdu adikey ayithu!'

I wouldnt call this an excellent recipe, but can try when u r lazy!!
