Grilled Chicken drumstick

Hangover of the too brief vacation is still not over...the inertia is still on...but the thought of some real good spicy Indian food is enough for me to get geared up.... for the last one week we had been sort of trekking on some alien terrains of International cuisine...but wasn't bad at all...in fact it has triggered a new romance with Italian cuisine...we have found out a real good Italian restaurant here which we have planned to attack once in a while...and probably I can try some of them too!!

Garma Garam, Garma garam...what shall I try...well a grilled chicken drumstick was irressistible..

Ingredients

Chicken Drumsticks-4
Chilli powder-1tbsp
Cayenne Powder-1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
lemon juice-2tsp
Oil-1tbsp
Salt as required

Method

Clean the chicken drumsticks and make a few slits on it (so that the marinate can really seep in).Now mix half the quantity of all the powders n salt and marinate the chicken , &leave it for 15 minutes. Then cook the chicken in a microwave for 10mts at high(alternatively u may pressure cook).Juices start running out..Now in the same juice mix the remaining masala and once again cover the cooked drumsticks thoroughly with the masala, brush some cooking oil and lemon juice and now grill it at high for about 10minutes (or till it is properly grilled,)turning occasionally.(If you want it spicier u may sprinkle a little pepper powder half the way it is grilled.)Your spicy grilled chicken drumstick is ready to go with u'r favourite parathas or porottas or naans or rice.To add a little more variety you may grill some onion and eat along with it...or marinate onion with red chilli powder, salt and turmeric and fry it along with two green chillies& curry leaves in oil till almost brown.Serve the grilled chicken on a bed of these onions..
